How was your Christmas?

We went down to Shreveport with Peri and her family the weekend before Christmas. I did a little shopping and took some family pictures. Jake had his first chocolate covered apple from The Chocolate Crocodile. Sam was a little upset over lunch though. We went to Joe's Crab Shack and he was so excited about having crab. He ordered a bucket of snow crab legs that the waitress recommended. I swear, you could see his mouth watering with anticipation! The waitress came back out and announced that they were all out of snow crab and would not substitute king for the other price. Sam's poor face was priceless. It looked like a stranger had come and taken candy away from a kid!

We had a wonderful Christmas! I am now looking at our destroyed house as I type but that will wait for another day. Jake was really excited this year. Not that that it is different than any other year. We had a lot of family and friends over. I love to cook and relax with everyone around the table. I will have to post pics as soon as i get them transferred over.

I got my very own embroidery machine! I have tinkered with it here and there, but have been really busy. I plan on doing more of that this week. I cant wait!

Sew perfect

I am starting on outfits for valentine's. I will be making up some while we are on break. I am so excited to get this part of my business off the ground. I really would love to be a WAHM next year. I also have made up cute little "Cupcakes." They are basicly the top part of the diaper cake with 10 Pampers Swaddlers, a wash cloth and two sets of baby socks made to look like icing. They are so cute! They sell for 15$ and can be customized to what ever you need. I have made some up that are just generic boy and girl colors. I will also be making the washcloths that are the "icing"

How are you

Boy, have I been lagging behind on this blogging thing! I am just going to blame it on being a newbie. HA! Anyway, just dropping in to update on everything.
We have lots going on now with the holidays coming up. Jake is really excited about Christmas. We finally finished our decorating last night. Yes, I know it is kinda late, but at least it got done! This is our last week of school before we get out for break. I am looking forward to being home. I am planning on making lots of homemade goodies with Jake. He is becoming quite the little chef! I will post pics of all our endeavors.
We also have a lot on our minds as far as expanding our family. We are hoping to start adoption proceedings some time next year. Pray for us in that area. I have MTHFR, and am not sure I can have another child. God gave us our little miracle and I am scared to take another chance. We have always wanted to adopt one child no matter how many we had of our own.
As you can see there is a lot going on. I feel truly blessed to have the family and friends that I do. They keep me sane :P

Cupcake Kids

I started Cupcake Kids Designs so I could eventually stay home with Jake. I am making diaper cakes and will be adding childrens clothing in the next few weeks. God has given me talents and I think I better use them! I do custom orders to match any decor or theme and have several made in basic styles. Price depends upon what you would like. I will be posting pics of the clothing this week.

I am so excited. I love this time of year. Jake has been singing Christmas carols for a few days now. I love the smells of all the wonderful food cooking in our home. Jake has been telling us all the things he is thankful for. You have the always heartwarming Mom, Dad, Nonna, and Jesus. But this year he has extended his thankfulness for bugs and insects and the big Dinosaur that he hopes to get for Christmas.
I am very thankful this year for many reasons. My new business that is growing and expanding, but most of all, I am here with my family and wonderful friends. God has richly blessed me with wonderful family and friends.
Don't forget to thank God for all the wonderful friends and family that will be around the next few weeks.
